These terms and conditions are served by Barking About Business Ltd. (Company Number: 13241489, Registered Address: 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU, United Kingdom) under the website; barkingaboutbusiness.com.

The purpose of this document is to explain to you how we conduct business and define any conditions of both Barking About Business Ltd. and you, the client. This document is provided so that you can made a decision on whether to engage in services provided by Barking About Business Ltd. You will be expected to agree to these terms before engaging with our services.

Policy key definitions:

  • “I”, “our”, “us”, or “we” refer to the business, Barking About Business Ltd. and previously Arrow Small Business Guru.
  • “you”, “the user” refer to the person(s) using this website and/or engaging with our services.


1. Confidentiality

By purchasing any of our services, you agree that you are aware that you will likely share personal information with our representatives. Sensitive information about the services provided by us may also be shared with you. You agree that this information will be held with the strictest of confidence by all parties.

If you require us to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) then please contact us directly to request it. We can provide you with a standard version applicable to most scenarios or you can provide your own. We highly recommend this practice for all business clients to ensure that you protect your own intellectual rights.

2. Appointments

You agree that when you book your appointment, you are making a commitment to Barking About Business for when you are expected to arrive for your call. Failure to turn up after 10 minutes of your designated appointment time will result in you losing that appointment, and we are under no obligation to allow you to rebook. Should you give sufficient notice* of needing to cancel before the start time of your appointment, you will be entitled to rebook at no additional cost.

On occasion it may be required that we need to cancel your appointment, although rare, should this happen you are entitled to rebook at no additional cost.

Any standalone appointments (one-offs) must be used within 90 days, after that they will expire, and you will be expected to purchase them again.

3. Recurring Sessions, Subscriptions and Courses

3.1. Recurring Sessions and Subscriptions

If you are purchasing a subscription package of any duration, then you accept that it is your responsibility to book in your appointments at each renewal period. You are provided a link via email to do so at the time of purchase.

Should you not book in your appointment by the next renewal payment then you will lose your appointment, and no refund will be offered. If you need to cancel an appointment, then the rules under ‘Appointment Time’ will apply; this does not apply to Basic Business Coaching appointments which will accumulate if you do not book them.

Should you cancel your subscription with accumulated appointments, these will be forfeit and will not be available even if you re-subscribe. There is a 24-hour grace period to this condition to factor in any issues with card payments of banking systems. The reason for this is that subscription-based appointments are offered at a discounted rate; therefore by cancelling the subscription for forfeit the ability to use them.

3.2. [Intensive] Courses

When you purchase a course that has a time limit (i.e. 6 or 12 months) you may not pause the course and payments cannot be delayed or postponed.  You may start the course at at date of your choice but this will not change the payment schedule.

If you pay for your course via monthly instalments, you will be required to pay for the entire course for the agreed duration and maintain your regular payments. Failure to keep to your payment schedule will result in the final balance of all outstanding months being charged. Your original payment method will be used to settle any outstanding balance in full with no obligation for us to continue services.

If you cancel the course before the final payment instalment, this will result in the final remaining balance of all outstanding months being charged. Your original payment method will be used to settle any outstanding balance in full with no obligation for us to continue services.

4. Refunds

You are entitled to refund for any product or service within 24 hours of purchasing any service should you change your mind.

All services are time-based which means when appointments are purchased time is set aside that week/month/year. This is to ensure that your future appointments can be fulfilled. Refunds are not given unless under exceptional circumstances and will not ever, concerning the non-booking of weekly subscriptions or cancellation of courses. You are entitled to refund within 24 hours or purchasing any service should you change your mind.

5. Appointment Preparation

You agree to come to the meetings prepared, which includes ensuring that the device that you intend to use is ready for joining the video call. You can check your readiness at https://zoom.us/test

If you feel you are not ready for the appointment, we recommended that you reschedule to ensure you get the maximum benefit.

Any assigned worksheets that are due before any calls should be completed and submitted to us within good time.

6. Your Data

We do not record your calls by default; we may record your calls for quality and training purposes and as proof of the sessions being conducted. Any recordings made are never available publicly. Recordings are not used for any other purpose than set out in this document unless you give express permission. Any recorded calls will be held for seven days, and you may always exercise your right to obtain a copy at no cost to yourself should it be available.

You may choose not to have your call recorded; you may be asked that to allow for the last few seconds of the call to be captured. This final recording is used as proof of service delivery if requested to do so by certain platforms like Fiverr.com.

You will be notified visually if a call is recorded.

Recordings and other data about the technology you are using to join the video calls are stored electronically on servers provided by Zoom who are are fully GDPR compliant. Zoom’s Privacy Policy can be found here: https://zoom.us/privacy

Your personal information is stored with Acuity Scheduling (a SquareSpace Company) and CoachAccountable to send you reminders and details of your appointment. If you opt-in to the newsletter, your name and email address will be transferred to ConvertKit.

*Sufficient notice is governed by the settings on the appointment booking system and we reserve the right to change this without notice to any clients. The minimum threshold will be 1 hour before the appointment; the maximum will never be more than 24 hours.
